Michael Collyer is Professor of Geography at the University of Sussex's School of Global Studies, where he has progressed from Lecturer to Professor since his appointment. Currently on research leave for 2024-25, he previously held a Fulbright Scholarship at the University of Washington and visiting positions in Egypt, France, Morocco, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. His career includes a Marie Curie Fellowship in Sri Lanka and a Nuffield Fellowship in Morocco.
