Michael Chapple

Michael Chapple serves as Associate Faculty Director of iNDustry Labs and Academic Director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics program at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. As a Teaching Professor, he focuses on IT, Analytics, and Operations, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics and cybersecurity.

Previously, he held leadership roles at Notre Dame, including Senior Director for IT Service Delivery, overseeing information security, cloud computing, and strategic planning. He also served in the U.S. Air Force and at the National Security Agency’s information security research group. His professional experience includes executive roles at the Brand Institute and leadership of Notre Dame’s Cloud First initiative, which migrated 83% of campus IT services to the cloud.

His expertise spans cybersecurity governance, cloud strategies, and enterprise IT management. He has advised senior university leadership and led cross-functional teams in technology innovation and compliance.
