Michael Braito

Michael Braito is a researcher at the Institute of Sustainable Economic Development within the Department for Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). His work bridges environmental sociology, social psychology, and sustainable development, focusing on human-nature relationships and environmental behavior.

Research Interests span environmental sociology, social psychology of sustainability, and socio-ecological systems. He investigates how social norms and human-nature relationships influence mobility behavior and environmental policy adoption.

Recent Publications focus on transport-wellbeing linkages, Q-methodology applications in mobility research, and behavioral analysis of agri-environmental schemes. His 2024 work includes multiple presentations on the TRA:WELL project's findings.
