Dr. Michael Beyak is an Associate Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Queen's University. He holds cross-appointments in the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences and the Translational Institute of Medicine (TIME). His clinical expertise focuses on complicated inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and GI endoscopy, while maintaining a broad interest in general internal medicine. Since joining Queen's faculty in 2006, he has been actively involved in teaching medical trainees at undergraduate, postgraduate, and subspecialist levels.

- Role of gut sensory nerves in visceral pain and satiety

- Teaching attending physician on internal medicine clinical teaching units since 2006
- Advocate for integrating family physicians in inpatient care
