Michael A. Robinson

Michael A. Robinson is a Professor and Director at the Sandler School of Social Work, Florida Atlantic University. He holds dual degrees: PhD and MSSW, along with a certification as a Certified Advanced Addiction and Drug Counselor (CAADC).

• Education: B.S. in Commerce (DePaul University), MSSW and PhD (University of Louisville College of Social Work and Family Science)

His research focuses on social justice issues affecting vulnerable populations, particularly African American males' interactions with law enforcement, utilizing Photovoice methodology. He has expertise in program evaluation and addiction counseling.

Dr. Robinson has also served as a board member of the Council on Social Work Education and chaired its Commission on Social, Economic, and Environmental Justice.
