Miłosz Markiewicz is an art historian and cultural studies scholar serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre and Media Art at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where he is also a member of the Humanities/Art/Technology Research Center.
His research centers on the intersection of art, technology, and culture with particular emphasis on cyborg theory and posthumanism. Markiewicz has participated in international seminars with prominent scholars including Rosi Braidotti, Eva Hayward, Natasha Myers, and Patricia MacCormack, significantly shaping his theoretical approach to contemporary art practices.
He serves as editor of the 'Art' section for the biweekly online magazine 'Czas Kultury' and is an active member of both the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and the European Network for Cinema and Media Studies (NECS).

As a translator, he has contributed works by Rosi Braidotti and Bernard Stiegler to Polish academic discourse, facilitating cross-cultural theoretical exchange.
