Meta van der Linden

Meta van der Linden is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Interdisciplinary Social Science, Utrecht University, and a member of the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER) since 2021. Her research focuses on migrant and refugee inclusion/exclusion, anti-immigrant sentiment, discrimination, and policy impacts on acculturation. She employs mixed methods, including surveys, experiments, and quasi-experimental designs.

• Education: PhD in Social Sciences (KU Leuven, 2012-2017); Research Master in Social Psychology (cum laude, University of Groningen); BSc in Psychology (University of Groningen).

Her work spans migration policy evaluation, intergroup dynamics, and societal integration of refugees. She has collaborated with the Netherlands Institute for Social Research and conducted outreach through public lectures and reports. She previously managed the EUR Bridge project at Erasmus University Rotterdam, examining refugee integration policies.
