Mervi Raudsaar is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Tartu’s Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Economics and Business Administration. She has held academic roles since 2011, including Head of the Chair of Entrepreneurship since 2020, and has contributed to research and teaching in entrepreneurship education, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices. She earned her Ph.D. in 2016 with a dissertation on social entrepreneurship developments in Estonia.
Her research focuses on entrepreneurial processes, education, and sustainability, with notable work on innovation ecosystems, educational interventions in schools and universities, and rural social enterprises. She has led projects such as the 'Handicraft for Job' initiative and contributed to global studies like the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM).
Raudsaar actively participates in academic governance, serving on faculty councils and holding administrative roles in the School of Economics and Business Administration. Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing the role of universities in fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems and societal impact.
