Merle Keitel is a Professor in the Department of Counseling and Counseling Psychology at Fordham University's Graduate School of Education. With over 30 years of experience teaching counseling and psychology trainees, she is a licensed psychologist who has worked in diverse mental health settings including college counseling centers, VA hospitals, and private practice.
Her research focuses on health psychology, eating disorders, infertility, PCOS, and women's mental health. She has published extensively on these topics, including co-editing the second edition of The Handbook of Counseling Women (2017) and co-authoring Counseling Women with Breast Cancer (2000).
