Merilee Klemp serves as Senior Lecturer in Oboe & English Horn at Carleton College, where she has taught continuously since 1982. Based in the Weitz Center for Creativity (Room M110), she instructs undergraduate and graduate students through individual lessons and juried performances across multiple academic terms.
Her educational foundation includes a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the Eastman School of Music, establishing her expertise in advanced musical performance.
Specializing in double-reed instruments, her professional focus centers on technical mastery and expressive interpretation of oboe and English horn repertoire within classical traditions. Her pedagogical approach emphasizes artistic development through structured performance curricula spanning foundational to advanced levels.
