Melissa Stancil

Melissa Stancil is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at Campbell University's College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, teaching in the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) and Doctor of Health Sciences (DHSc) programs. Her work focuses on rural health, behavioral health, and nature-based interventions for mental well-being.

Her research emphasizes culture-specific outdoor learning, trauma treatment, and health equity, particularly for LGBTQIA+ populations. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor supervisor with a postgraduate residency in spiritually-integrated psychotherapy (Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center).
