Melisa Deciancio is a Research Fellow at FLACSO and Assistant Researcher at CONICET. She serves as Academic Coordinator of the Master's Program in International Relations at FLACSO and holds teaching and research roles at the same institution. Her expertise spans international relations theory, intellectual history, and Latin American regional studies. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Münster (2020–2023) and has held research stays at institutions including Amherst College and the University of Warwick.

Her research focuses on the intellectual history of Argentine International Relations, multilateral governance, and bioeconomy dynamics in Latin America. She promotes interdisciplinary collaboration through inter-institutional teams and currently chairs the Latin America and Caribbean Region of the International Studies Association (ISA).
Publications emphasize theoretical frameworks for global IR from Southern perspectives and regional integration processes. She has contributed to journals like International Studies Review and Journal of International Relations, Strategy and Security.
