Melinda Weathers

Dr. Melinda Weathers is an Associate Professor in the Communication Department at Western Carolina University. She specializes in health communication, climate change communication, and the impact of new technologies on interpersonal and societal messaging. Her work addresses issues such as caregiver communication with older adults, heterosexual dating dynamics, and public health messaging efficacy.

Education includes a Ph.D. in Health Communication from George Mason University, a Master's in Speech Communication from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor's in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University.
