Dr Melanie Griffiths is a Birmingham Fellow at the University of Birmingham’s School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, specializing in mobility and UK immigration enforcement. She holds a BA (Oxon), MA, and DPhil. Her research focuses on deportation, the ‘hostile environment’ under Brexit, and mixed-immigration status families.
Education: BA (Oxon), MA, DPhil (Oxford). Previous roles include ESRC Future Research Leaders grant holder at Bristol University and Associate Research Fellow at Exeter University.
