Univ.-Prof. Dr. Meinhard Lukas serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Basic Research at the Institute for Civil Law, Johannes Kepler University Linz. Based in the Management Center (2nd floor, Room 204A), he oversees departmental operations with contact via basicresearch.civillaw@jku.at.
Research focuses on systematic development of fundamental principles in Austrian and European civil law, emphasizing the general part of law of obligations—particularly breach of contract and tort law—while integrating interdisciplinary perspectives from corporate law and civil procedure.
