Meilan Yan

Meilan Yan is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Economics at Loughborough University, where she has been since July 2020. Prior to this, she held positions at the University of Hull and the University of Wolverhampton. She earned both her MSc and PhD in Economics from Loughborough University, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Her research focuses on banking regulation and supervision, financial risk measurement and management, and sustainable finance. She has published in journals such as the European Journal of Finance, International Journal of Finance and Economics, and Journal of Banking Regulation, collaborating with international colleagues from the UK, Germany, Ukraine, and China.

Meilan teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in banking, accounting and finance, corporate finance, international finance, financial economics, and risk management.
