Dr. Mehran Anvari is a Professor of Surgery at McMaster University and an Adjunct Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES). As a pioneer in surgical robotics, he founded the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery (CMAS) and leads the Ontario Bariatric Network (OBN) as Clinical Lead and Chair. He also serves as Scientific Director and CEO of the Centre for Surgical Invention and Innovation (CSii), which partnered with MDA to create Insight Medbotics Incorporated for commercializing robotic surgical systems.
