Meghna Sapui is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Michigan Society of Fellows. Her research focuses on the literature and culture of the British Empire in the 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly examining alimentary narratives and their intersections with colonialism, caste, ecology, and race. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Florida (2023).
Her current projects include Edible Empire, analyzing food as a narrative device in colonial contexts, and a study on ecological disciplines' imperial formations.
