Meghan Joy

Meghan Joy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Concordia University. Her research focuses on urban politics, public policy, aging policy, and nonprofit sector dynamics. She examines how municipalities collaborate with nonprofits and older adults to develop age-friendly policies. Key collaborations include work with Dr. John Shields on social innovation, Dr. Ronald K. Vogel on progressive urban policy, and Dr. Mireille Paquet on sanctuary city policies.

Her notable works include the 2020 book The Right to an Age Friendly City and a 2022 article on transformational urban policy. She is actively supervising students in urban politics, aging policy, and state-nonprofit relations.
