About
Dr. Meghan Halse is a Senior Lecturer in Chemistry at the University of York, specializing in developing novel NMR and MRI methods with a focus on hyperpolarisation and portable instrumentation. She directs the CHAT Lab (Chemistry and Technology), investigating how hyperpolarisation techniques like SABRE can overcome sensitivity limitations in low-field NMR.
Her research encompasses three main areas: integrating SABRE hyperpolarisation with benchtop NMR spectrometers for analytical applications, studying SABRE mechanisms using ultra-low-field NMR detection, and developing laser-initiated time-resolved NMR spectroscopy with parahydrogen hyperpolarisation. Funded by EPSRC, her work has applications in industry and healthcare.
