Megha Rajguru

Dr Megha Rajguru serves as Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience at the University of Brighton’s School of Humanities and Social Science, and Co-Director of the Centre for Design History. She holds a PhD (2010) from the University of Brighton, focusing on curating Indian religious artifacts in British museums. Her research explores design history in South Asia, decolonial methodologies, and transnational design narratives, particularly in post-Independence India's development context. She teaches BA Art History and Visual Culture, BA Fashion and Design History, and contributes to MA programs in Design History and Curating.

Notable achievements include the GCRF International Fellowship (2020) and a Rising Star Award (2015-17) for collaborative research on 'Modular Living in Asia.' She co-edited *Design and Modernity in Asia* (2022) and co-convened the 2017 international conference *Modern Living in Asia 1970-1990*. Her work bridges academia and practice, with peer-reviewed contributions to journals like *Journal of Design History* and roles as a Trustee of the Design History Society (2017-2020).

Supervisory interests include postcolonial design politics, South Asian craft histories, and modernisms beyond Eurocentrism. Current PhD supervision spans Aboriginal textile production in Australia and museum engagement with South Asian diasporas in the UK.
