Megann Licskai is Lecturer in the History of Science and Medicine and Senior Project Director for the Program in History of Science and Medicine at Yale University. She holds a B.A. in Contemporary Studies and History of Science from University of King’s College and a Ph.D. from Yale.
Research examines 20th-21st century reproductive politics in North America, anti-abortion movements' use of scientific discourse, and health activism. Current book project Pro-Life Science analyzes how anti-abortion movements co-opted scientific spaces/language to influence policy (1968-2003). Secondary interests include ethics of medical history, conservative health politics, and constructions of life/personhood.
Previously served at University of King's College's Foundation Year Program and Yale's Medical Historical Library, curating exhibits on health justice. Teaches courses on reproductive justice and historical research methods.
