Megan Mullin is Professor of Public Policy and holder of the Luskin Endowed Chair in Innovation and Sustainability at UCLA, where she serves as Faculty Director of the Luskin Center for Innovation. Her research examines environmental governance challenges, particularly water system vulnerabilities and climate adaptation.
She has pioneered studies on how institutional fragmentation affects water security during droughts and developed frameworks for equitable coastal retreat strategies. Her recent work analyzes how local news coverage influences public support for infrastructure investment.
Mullin's research combines policy analysis with empirical methods to address environmental justice in climate adaptation. As an Andrew Carnegie Fellow, she advances policy solutions for sustainable water management and resilient communities.
