Megan Erickson

Dr. Megan Erickson is a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. She completed her PhD at the University of Washington and holds an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics. Her research examines how nonstate actors utilize violence, adapt to shifting social orders, and provide governance in contexts of political conflict.

Her work intersects international relations, comparative politics, and political economy, focusing on cycles of violence, peacebuilding, and civil resistance in low-state-capacity environments. Methodologically, she employs causal models with quantitative and qualitative approaches.
