Megan Curry is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing Practice at the University of Sunderland, affiliated with the Department of Adult Nursing Practice. She has been at the university since 2017, transitioning directly from clinical practice. Her roles include Module Leader for NRS200 Application of Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses, Personal Tutor for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice, and Dissertation Supervisor. She actively integrates Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles into teaching and participates in institutional EDI networks.
Her research interests span EDI in healthcare and education, pre/post-operative care, plastic surgery, and wound management. She completed her nursing training at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (2008), with prior clinical experience in trauma care, palliative care, and plastic surgery. She has also held roles such as Year 1 and 2 Lead, Clinical Link Tutor, and contributed to curriculum development. Megan is a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
