Megan Condis

Megan Condis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Texas Tech University, specializing in the intersection of technology, identity, and culture. Her research examines how technologies become racialized, gendered, and sexualized, with a focus on video game culture and artificial intelligence.

• Key work: Gaming Masculinity (2018) analyzes gender performance in gaming communities.
• Current project: Designing Women explores historical and cultural gendering of computing technologies and AI.
