Meg Toland

Meg Toland serves as Associate Professor of Journalism in the Department of Communication and Media Studies within Arkansas Tech University's College of Arts and Humanities. She advises the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) chapter and participates in multiple campus committees while maintaining active community engagement through Connect Church and Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship.

Her academic credentials include a BA and MA, both earned at Arkansas Tech University. She teaches foundational courses including Public Speaking (COMM 2003), Introduction to Mass Communication (JOUR 2133), and Public Relations Principles (JOUR 3173), alongside advanced coursework in media law and internship supervision.

Professor Toland's research centers on health communication efficacy within the River Valley community, currently examining essential health issues and campaign effectiveness.
