Meg Gorvine, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Her work focuses on implementation science, substance use disorder recovery, integrative health, and stress resilience. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Prevention Research from UAMS, an M.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Central Arkansas, and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Gorvine’s research explores stress management, opioid overdose elimination, and correctional health interventions. She employs qualitative, mixed-methods, and implementation science approaches, with recent projects including resilience training for correctional officers and yoga feasibility among women in recovery. Her awards include the NIDA T32 Fellowship (2018–2020) and the Mind & Life Emerging Researcher designation (2022–2024).
