Meg Cychosz

Meg Cychosz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Stanford University, directing the Speech and Cognitive Development Lab. She holds a PhD in Linguistics from UC Berkeley (2020) and a Master 1 in Phonetics from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3 (2015). Her research focuses on speech development, particularly in children with cochlear implants, exploring how auditory environments and speech-motor systems interact. She combines computational modeling, acoustic analysis, and neuroimaging (e.g., fNIRS) with fieldwork and crowdsourcing methods.

Key research areas include phonetic variation, language acquisition across languages, and the impact of sensory experience on speech patterns.
