Meera Rastogi is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Pre-Art Therapy Certificate Program at the University of Cincinnati's Clermont College. With dual expertise as a licensed psychologist and board-certified art therapist, her research integrates neuroscience, psychology, and art therapy for mental health treatment.
Holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology (Ohio State University) and MA in Art Therapy. Research focuses on innovative clinical applications including:
- Art therapy for neurological conditions and trauma
- Digital health interventions for chronic illness
- Community-based mental health approaches
- Therapeutic mechanisms of creative expression
Publications emphasize evidence-based frameworks for art therapy practice, multicultural competencies, and educational models. Recent work explores virtual group therapy adaptations and neuroaesthetics foundations.
Awards recognize teaching excellence and mental health advocacy, including the Lucille Pederson Hardgrove Educator Award.
