Meena Srinivasan

Meena Srinivasan serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Information Technology and Engineering within the Community College at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC-CC). Her academic focus centers on Computer Science Technology, particularly blockchain applications in educational institutions.

Research Interests: Dr. Srinivasan's research encompasses blockchain technology for educational applications, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and information technology education. Her work includes contributions to research on cloud computing, IT training, and cybersecurity, alongside leading a summer faculty grant project exploring blockchain in educational institutions. She actively participates in advancing STEM education through initiatives like the Women in STEM Speaker Series.

Professional Service: She has served as Chair of the Departmental Educational Program Committee (DEPC) from 2022-2024 and mentors students in the Guardian UDC Community College Innovation Challenge. Additionally, she is a reviewer for the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE) and was an invited panelist for the Women in STEM Speaker Series during 2023-2024.
