Md Shamim Hasan

Md Shamim Hasan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dramatics at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He is concurrently pursuing his PhD at the School of Arts & Humanities at Ulster University, UK, focusing on the intersection of Jerry Grotowski's work and ritual performances to address youth involvement in religious extremism.

Research Interests span Traditional and Ritual Performances, Theatre for Development, and Actor Training, with a focus on bridging contemporary performance theory and ritual practices to promote pluralistic, spiritual, and humanistic values in society.
