Dr. Md Billah is an Associate Professor at Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. He holds a PhD from Monash University and prior degrees from institutions in Canada and Bangladesh. His research focuses on epidemiological modeling, cardiac surgery risk prediction, and public health analytics. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles with significant citation impact, earning the European Society of Cardiology's Highest Cited Award. His teaching includes biostatistics units for public health students, achieving 97% evaluation scores and 'Golden Category' status at Monash.
Dr. Billah's expertise spans UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. He has led/co-led five research projects since 2008, including studies on child undernutrition in Laos, diabetes management in Bangladesh, and cardiovascular outcomes improvement. His work integrates statistical methods with clinical data to address healthcare challenges in both developed and developing contexts.
