Małgorzata Lipska is an assistant professor at the Department of Jewish Studies at the University of Wrocław since 2022 and Deputy Head of the Department for Teaching Affairs since 2024. She holds a multidisciplinary background with degrees in Hebrew Studies (University of Warsaw), Theater Studies (Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art), Intercultural Pedagogy (Christian Theological Academy), and additional studies in Theater Theory at Tel Aviv University. Her research focuses on Hebrew drama, modern Hebrew poetry, and literary translation, with a specialization in translating Jewish memoir texts (e.g., Yizkor books) and theater lyrics.
Her doctoral dissertation on cross-cultural dramaturgy between Poland and Israel (1990–2018) earned recognition in the Meir Balaban Competition. She has published translations of key Jewish literary works, including Mosze Lejb Lilienblum’s Sins of Youth (2023) and Awraham Ber Gotlober’s Memories of My Youth (2022). Her academic output spans theater analysis, migration narratives, and intercultural performance studies.
Lipska actively contributes to academic governance, curricular development, and international collaborations. Her work bridges literary scholarship, theater practice, and cultural heritage preservation through translation and critical editing.
