Professor Małgorzata Borowska is affiliated with the University of Warsaw, where she serves as the Head of the Hellenic Studies Workshop USOS within Dean's College. She earned her Master of Arts in Classical Philology in 1974 and received two Doctor of Humanities degrees in 1984 and 1994, respectively.
- Founder of the first Modern Greek academic studies in Poland (1997)

Her research focuses on ancient drama and its reception, Byzantine poetry, Cretan literature from the 14th-17th centuries, and the intersection of Polish and Greek cultural history, particularly regarding the Greek uprising against the Ottomans (1821-1829). She specializes in applied translation studies of Greek literary texts into Polish.
Scientific awards include three major research scholarships from Greek institutions. Her work bridges classical philology with modern intercultural dialogue.
