Mayurika Chakravorty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Carleton University. Her research examines postcolonial fantasy/science fiction and representations of childhood/girlhood in South Asian literature. She received her PhD from SOAS, University of London, and holds editorial positions at The Eighteenth Century: Theory and Interpretation.
Her honors include research grants from SSHRC, a Cambridge visiting scholarship, and multiple teaching awards. She teaches courses in South Asian literature, diaspora studies, and postcolonial theory.
