About
Mayly Sanchez is the Wyatt-Green Professor in the Department of Physics at Florida State University. Her research focuses on High Energy Physics, specializing in neutrino oscillation phenomena, CP violation measurements, and neutrino mass hierarchy determination through long-baseline experiments (NOvA, DUNE). She pioneers detector technology innovation, leading the ANNIE experiment for Large-Area Picosecond Photo-Detectors (LAPPD) in Gd-loaded water Cherenkov detectors.
Professional Leadership:
- Appointed to the Particle Physics Project Prioritization Panel (P5) and High Energy Physics Advisory Panel (HEPAP 2022-2025)
- Elected Executive Committee Member of APS Division of Particle and Fields (2021-2023)
- Liaison for Snowmass Neutrino/Instrumentation Frontiers (2020)
- Scientific Council Member for PRISMA+ at Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz (2019-present)
- Committee roles in APS DPF, Neutrino Conference advisory boards, and FNAL reviews
