Maxwell M. Maseko

Dr. Maxwell M. Maseko is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Wits School of Governance, University of the Witwatersrand. His research focuses on the intersection of digitalization, democracy, governance, and media, with a particular emphasis on Africa. He explores how digital technologies reshape electoral democracy, citizen participation, and public policy.

• Education: PhD in Public Administration from the University of the Western Cape.

Maseko’s recent publications analyze topics such as E-Voting, digital rights, and technology adoption in African governance. His work spans academic journals, online resources, and book chapters, highlighting both opportunities and challenges in cybersecurity, ICT policy, and democratic processes. As a former broadcast journalist, he brings practical insights into media and digital communication to his research.
