Maxwell G. Heiman

Maxwell G. Heiman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School, jointly affiliated with Boston Children's Hospital. His research focuses on understanding cellular morphogenesis and tissue assembly using genetic approaches in model organisms.

Research Interests: The Heiman Lab investigates mechanisms of cell shape determination, dendrite patterning, glial diversity, and cell-cell interactions during organ development. Primary model systems include C. elegans sensory neurons and glial cells, with emphasis on forward genetic screens to identify molecular regulators of cellular architecture.
