Dr. Maxwell Burkey is an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Kean University, specializing in American politics, African American Studies, and political theory. He received his B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Ph.D. from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Prior to joining Kean, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of African American Studies and Political Science at The College of New Jersey.
