Max Horn

Prof. Max Horn is a Professor and Head of the Algebra, Geometry and Computer Algebra Group (AGAG) at the Department of Mathematics, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. His research focuses on computational group theory, algebraic Lie theory, Kac-Moody groups, and mathematical software development. He coordinates the GAP computer algebra system and co-leads the OSCAR system.

He holds a prominent role in advancing computational algebra through leadership in key software projects. His work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical computational tools, supporting both research and education in algebraic disciplines.
