Max Edling is a Professor of Early American History at King's College London, based in the Department of History within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. He holds a PhD in History from Cambridge University and a PhD in Political Science from Stockholm University, and was awarded a Docent degree by Uppsala University in 2012. His research focuses on the American founding, early U.S. state formation, and public finance. Edling has authored three major books, including A Revolution in Favor of Government (2003) and Perfecting the Union (2021).
