Matthieu Martel is a Professor in Computer Science at Université de Perpignan Via Domitia and serves as Vice-President for International & Cross-Border Relations. He leads the Laboratoire de Mathématiques et de Physique (LAMPS) and is a co-founder and scientific advisor of Numalis, a startup focused on reliable numerical computation. His research spans precision tuning, scientific data compression, numerical accuracy, and safety-critical systems. He has advised numerous PhD students and collaborates on projects like Linguatec IA and Numalis.
