Matthias Krause

Prof. Dr. Matthias Krause serves as a full Professor at the University of Mannheim within the School of Business Informatics and Mathematics. He holds the Chair of Theoretical Computer Science and leads the Arbeitsgruppe Theoretische Informatik und IT-Sicherheit (Working Group for Theoretical Computer Science and IT Security).

His research focuses on foundational aspects of computing theory and information security systems, with emphasis on cryptographic protocols and computational complexity. The working group under his direction explores formal methods for secure system design and theoretical frameworks for data protection.
