Matthias Faes

Matthias Faes is Professor of Reliability Engineering at TU Dortmund University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research develops methods for reliability analysis of complex structures, uncertainty quantification with scarce data, and machine learning-enhanced numerical models.

Prior roles include a postdoctoral fellowship at KU Leuven and Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship at Leibniz University Hannover. He leads initiatives in computational reliability and industrial applications.
