Matthew Thacker

Matthew Thacker, DMD, is an Adjunct Professor at Roseman University and Program Director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Henderson, Nevada. He earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine in 2018 and a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Integrative Physiology from UNLV. His career includes four years as a Fleet Marine Force dental officer in the U.S. Navy and extensive volunteer work in community dental care programs.

Dr. Thacker focuses on evidence-based dental care, residency training, and community service initiatives such as Special Olympics, Give Kids a Smile, and Project Homeless. His work emphasizes training future dentists to be skilled, compassionate, and service-oriented. He is a member of the American Dental Education Association, Nevada Dental Association, and Southern Nevada Dental Society, and holds the distinction of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, he engages in ice hockey, graphic design, computer coding, woodworking, and travel.
