Matthew Stone is a Professor of Law at the Essex Law School of the University of Essex. He joined the institution in 2011 and has previously served as a lecturer at London Metropolitan University. His teaching focuses on equity, property law, and legal theory, while his research interrogates the relationship between law and subjectivity, particularly how legal systems shape ethical self-understanding.
