Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Newberry College, specializing in guitar instruction. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Certificate in Classic Guitar Performance from the University of South Carolina. Smith directs 'Matthew Smith’s Guitar Studio' in Columbia, South Carolina, offering private lessons and summer programs.

His professional activities include composing film soundtracks, recording albums, and performing in chamber ensembles and popular music groups. Smith has served on the faculty of the Southern Guitar Festival and Competition and performed with the guitar quartet 'Accordo 24'.
