Matthew Pitt

Matthew Pitt is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Texas Christian University (TCU), affiliated with the AddRan College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on Creative Writing, Fiction, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and 20th/21st century American literature. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing/Theatre Arts from New York University and a BA in Creative Writing from Hampshire College.

Dr. Pitt teaches courses such as Introduction to Drama, Fiction Writing Workshops, and Advanced Literary Forms. His publications include the novella *The Be-Everything! Brothers* and short stories in journals like *Blackbird* and *Michigan Quarterly Review*. He has received awards including the Electric Book Award and the Autumn House Fiction Prize.

His work explores themes of identity, gender, and post-war domestic life, often blending historical and contemporary narratives. Pitt is also actively involved in literary conferences and mentorship programs for emerging writers.
