Matthew Nicol

Matthew Nicol is a Research Fellow in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of South Carolina. His affiliation includes the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. He collaborates closely with Professor Steffen Strauch.

• Education: MPhys (Integrated Master's in Physics), PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), PhD in Physics from the University of York.

Research focuses on hadron structure and interactions, analyzed through electroproduction experiments such as the Muon Scattering Experiment (MUSE) at the Paul Scherer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland. Additional interests include strangeness phenomena and hexaquark searches at Jefferson Laboratory (JLAB).
